Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
The short version. This site collects only what you type into the booking and wedding forms. It is used to reply to you and to plan and perform your event. It is never sold or used for advertising, and this site has no tracking or advertising cookies.
1. Who we are
roamnent.ca is run by RoamN Entertainment, a DJ and event entertainment business operated by Liam Gardipee in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Liam is the person responsible for privacy. Contact: [email protected] or 780-655-6795.
2. What we collect
- Booking inquiry form: your name, email, phone number, and the details of your event, such as the date, venue, guest count, music preferences and anything you add in the notes.
- Wedding details form (for booked couples): names and contact details for the couple, the venue and schedule, song choices, and the names of people involved in the day, such as family, the wedding party and other vendors.
- Email, phone or text: whatever you choose to send.
- Technical information: like most websites, the server and our network provider record the IP address, time and page for each request. This is used for security and to limit abuse of the forms.
The forms do not ask for payment card details, government ID or health information. Please do not include them.
3. How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry with availability and pricing.
- To plan, prepare for and perform at your event.
- To send you one confirmation email with a copy of what you submitted.
- To keep business and tax records for events we are booked for.
- To keep the site secure and stop spam.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list. If we ever start a newsletter, we will ask for your permission first.
4. Information about other people
The wedding form asks for the names of people who will take part in the day. Please share only what is needed for announcements and planning, and let those people know where practical. We use these details only for your event.
5. Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process information on our behalf and may store it on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to local law.
- Google (Gmail): form submissions are delivered to and kept in our Gmail account, and confirmation emails are sent through it.
- Cloudflare: delivers the site, protects it from attacks, forwards mail sent to [email protected], and provides the "I am human" check on the booking form. That check may read basic browser and device signals to tell people from bots.
Where we hire another DJ or vendor to help with your event, we share only the details they need to do the job. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
6. Where it is stored and for how long
- The website itself does not keep a copy of your submission. It builds a PDF, emails it, and discards it.
- Inquiries that do not become bookings are deleted from our email within 12 months.
- Booked events: planning details are kept until the event is finished and then deleted within 12 months. Contracts, invoices and payment records are kept for seven years to meet tax record rules.
- Server logs are kept for a few weeks and then deleted automatically.
7. Saved progress on the wedding form
So that you do not lose your answers if you close the page, the wedding form saves your progress in your own browser on your own device. This copy is not sent to us until you press Submit. It is removed when you submit, when you choose "Start over", or after 60 days. If you use a shared computer, choose "Start over" or submit before you leave.
8. Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies and has no social media trackers. The wedding form is password protected, and your browser remembers that password while the page is open. Cloudflare may set a cookie that is strictly needed for security.
9. How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection, the forms are limited and checked to block abuse, and access to our email and server is restricted to Liam. No method is perfect. If a security incident creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta without unreasonable delay.
10. Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We will reply within 45 days. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it, and we will tell you if that applies.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta at oipc.ab.ca.
11. Children
The forms are meant for adults arranging an event. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
